Tattoo Aftercare Directions


At completion of tattoo session in studio:
Immediately following your procedure, spray H2Ocean’s all natural sea salt and enzyme spray or your preferred antiseptic spray directly on the area and wipe it clean with a wet paper towel. Our product is safe to spray directly on the tattoo and will not sting or burn. Do not use any alcohol based products that will start irritating and drying the area. Use a thin coat of a water based lotion (like Ocean Care Cream), ointment, or gel on the tattoo and then bandage it. We do not recommend a plastic wrap or any petroleum because it does not allow the dermal cells to breathe.

Ocean Foam Aftercare

Directions:
After removing the bandage, wash the tattoo every hour with warm water and a mild soap until the tattoo stops it’s oozing, “plasma cycle”.  (Do not apply the foam until the tattoo has stopped oozing.)  Use your fingers with medium pressure during your washes, this will help get rid of any dried secretion you may not see. The dried secretion forms a barrier layer which is the start of a scab. The dead dermal layers will form more rapidly on the first two days of healing because of the inflamed dermal cells. Washing with warm water opens the derma pores and gives your skin a deep clean. The first day H2Ocean recommends a minimum of 4 warm water washes or every hour until bedtime. Apply the Ocean Foam before bed.  The second day H2Ocean recommends 3 washes and up to 6 applications of Ocean Foam. The foam should cool down the tattoo, if it becomes irritated switch to the Ocean Care Cream. Wash every morning and before bed then apply H2Ocean. Follow tip card directions for the rest of the healing cycle. Drying and peeling is normal after the 3rd day.
 
Additional Aftercare Tips:
Shake can vigorously. Spray a golf ball size of foam in your clean hand and rub in until it is completely absorbed into the tattoo. Reapply if needed to make a moist barrier over the whole tattoo. Pay special attention to areas with cracks and over worked areas.

Ocean Care Cream Aftercare:

Directions:
Follow the same directions as the Ocean Foam – except you can apply the Ocean Care Cream immediately after your procedure.
  
This formula is for normal to dry skin.  It provides a very moist natural healing environment. It can work in combination with the foam for the best results.  It also can be used as a stand alone product.
 
 
Warnings:
DO NOT mix H2Ocean products with any products that contain petroleum, wax or oils.  If irritation occurs continue to consult with your artist or a doctor and discontinue use.
 
 
 
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO H2OCEAN TATTOO AFTERCARES IS:
 
There are many different skin types and people will have reactions to inks, so different heal times are sometimes expected.  Ocean Care Cream is recommended for normal to dry skin that will need this extra moisturizing formula. Ocean Foam is recommended for the normal to oily skin and this formula has a barrier that acts like a liquid bandage but allows the skin to breathe. Ocean Foam also has the organic sea kelp to provide vitamins A, B, C, and E to accelerate the healing process.
